How to Use SlidesGrabber
Open the Presentation on SlideShare
Go to SlideShare.net and find the presentation you want. Open it in a private/incognito browser window to confirm all slides load without a login prompt — this tells you upfront whether the download will work.
Copy the Full URL From the Address Bar
Click your browser address bar and copy the complete URL. Always copy directly from the address bar — not from Google search results or the SlideShare share button. Those URLs include parameters that cause silent download failures.
Choose Your Format
Paste the URL into the input box on the homepage and select your format before clicking Download Now.
Click Download Now — File Saves Automatically
Click Download Now. Most presentations are ready in 10 to 15 seconds. The file saves directly to your Downloads folder — no confirmation emails, no redirect pages.
Also works for Scribd documents — use the Scribd Downloader for PDF, DOC, and TXT formats.
Frequently Asked Questions
Troubleshooting
- Copy the URL fresh from the SlideShare address bar — not from Google results or the share button
- The URL must start with slideshare.net/ — check before pasting
- Try a different browser — Chrome works most reliably on both desktop and mobile
- Disable browser extensions temporarily, especially ad blockers, and retry
- File quality depends on what the original uploader uploaded to SlideShare — SlidesGrabber does not compress files
- If PPT has broken fonts, try PDF instead — it always preserves the exact original layout
- For PPT font issues, open the file in Google Slides — it handles missing fonts better than desktop PowerPoint
- Some presentations contain embedded videos or animations that cannot be saved in static file format — those slides show as blank
- If slides are blank, open the presentation in a private window and check if those specific pages are actually restricted by Scribd
- The downloader saves exactly what is publicly visible — it cannot retrieve content hidden behind a paywall
- The presentation may have been deleted or set to private by the uploader — check if it still loads on SlideShare
- Copy the URL again directly from the browser while viewing the presentation — do not use a saved or bookmarked link
- Try switching formats — if PDF fails, try PPT or Images ZIP
- This is Safari’s default behaviour for PDF files — it previews rather than saves
- Tap and hold the download link (long press) → select “Download Linked File” from the menu
- The file appears in your Files app → Downloads folder
- Alternatively, use Chrome on iPhone — it saves files directly without the preview step
